Insights from 30/30
30/30 Prayer Event August 8th, 2009After a few conversations with fellow prayer warriors, I thought it would be good to share some of the insights from the 30/30 prayer experience.
Here are a few that were shared. I invite you to also share your lessons learned, testimonies, and insights with us.
Blessings,
MC
1. Prayer is transactional and transformative. As you send your requests up toward heaven be attentive to the fact that God wants to reveal His will to and through you.
2. The act of prayer should be undertaken with discipline and faith. Faith moves God and discipline shows a commitment to that faith.
3. Prayer is the most spiritual thing you will do in a day. God’s daily provision for our lives centers us and strategically positions for the days events.
4. A powerful prayer life will increase your effectiveness in the kingdom. It always comes down to the will of God. Prayer gives you greater awareness of the will of God for your life causing you to effectively worship through the activities of your life.
5. Answered prayer is the privilege of the believer. God gives answers to prayer. He delights in answering the prayers of His children.

As I journeyed through the 30/30 Prayer Event I felt initially convicted, challenged and ultimately freed from the mindset of too often viewing prayer as a chore. God is amazing! The sheer power of His Word, when understood, is beyond any adjective I know.
I held my breath through much of this event for reasons unknown, but gradually revealed with each posting. Pastor, denial is a powerful emotion. I wanted to comment so many times but you kept pouring more and more wisdom into my spirit, it took a minute!
I agree with all (5) Insights and just want to add another:
6. Prayer is Conviction & Joy. Yes, it falls under transformational; but for me hearing my HONEST prayer ALOUD before God alone, causes/requires me to ‘tell the truth’. Yeah, sometimes my silent prayers aren’t pure; they can be pretty selfish. But with a surrendered will in the presence of the Holy Spirit, The Truth is revealed and that leads to Joy. Not that every answer/illumination is pleasing to me; but it is The Truth (not my truth)and it brings me immeasurable joy to experience the presence & power of His Word. You are absolutely correct, it is a PRIVILEGE to be able to pray to God, and an honor to hear/experience His response.
Not every prayer is a ‘request’ nor should it be. I am so incredibly thankful for this life that my praise is literally continuous. Can’t thank Him enough? That’s me! I even thank Him for confusion and doubt because the answer/lesson coming will in fact be transformative & a testimony, not as much to my faith but to His love for me. And Jesus LOVES me…this I know:)
Pastor Cade, I thank God for you daily. You are a blessing and an honest broker for the Lord. Stay strong in the Lord and keep interceding on our behalf.
